Affordable Housing Solutions is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which was established in 1978 to provide financing for two HUD Section 8 projects. It is an instrumentality of the Sioux Falls Housing and Redevelopment Commission (SFHRC), the local public housing authority. In 1997 it was designated as a HUD Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). In 2011 the Sioux Falls Housing Corporation began doing business as Affordable Housing Solutions (AHS).
